Walking through the cobbled streets of Pompeii, every step is a leap into the past. The ancient domus reveal frescoes with still vivid colors, the mosaics tell stories of gods and men, and the Forum opens majestic, witness to an era of great splendor. The scent of sulfur and the golden light of the Campania sun will accompany you as you explore spas, theaters and shops, until you imagine the teeming life that animated this city before the eruption of 79 AD.
With the help of an expert guide, you will discover curiosities and secrets: from graffiti on the walls to the tools of daily life that have remained intact for two thousand years.

Second stop: Vesuvius, the sleeping giant

After a short climb through vineyards and panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples, you will reach the Vesuvius National Park. The air becomes thinner, the ground darker: you are on the side of one of the most famous volcanoes in the world. A guided walk up to the crater will give you breathtaking views: on one side the blue expanse of the sea, on the other the dramatic smoldering mouth that once wiped Pompeii off the map.
As you feel the warmth of the earth beneath your feet and the wind ruffling your thoughts, you will understand the power and fragility that coexist in this unique landscape.

Lunch time

To complete the experience, you will enjoy a lunch in a Neapolitan pizzeria, enjoying the authentic flavors and typical products of Campania, with pizza & drink formula

Tour Description

Pick-up of the customer at the hotel, port or station as indicated by the customer at the time of booking. Transfer to Pompeii (about 40 minutes) in new and comfortable minibuses all equipped with air conditioning and driven by experienced and professional staff. Arrival in Pompeii excavations scheduled for about 11:00 am.  Guided tour (2 hours) of the archaeological excavations with a professional guide who will illustrate the history and the most valuable sites of the excavations such as the Forum, the Baths, the Lupanare, the Greek theater and the plaster casts of the bodies of the inhabitants of Pompeii buried by ashes and lapilli during the eruption of 79 AD. At the end of the visit lunch break with pizza & drink formula. Afterwards transfer to Torre del Greco from which you can access the Vesuvius National Park up to an altitude of 1000. Stop at the parking lot and walk to the top of the only active volcano in continental Europe. Visit of the suggestive crater at 1200 meters high from which it is possible to see the Gulf of Naples from Capo Miseno to the tip of Campanella.  Return to the hotel at about 5:15 pm.
Audio guide option: pre-established meeting point at 9:30 am and visit first to Vesuvius and in the afternoon to Pompeii.

Pick-up Information

Hotel pick-up: at all hotels and b&bs in Naples. The hotel will be indicated by the customer at the time of booking.
Port pick-up: at the Beverello pier or the Calata gate pier in Naples respectively upon the arrival of hydrofoils and ferries from the islands of the gulf. The driver will be waiting on the pier with a name sign.
Cruise pick-up: at the Maritime Station upon arrival of cruise ships. Immediately near the ship, the driver will be waiting with a name sign.
Central Station pick-up: at the entrance of the garage of the Star hotel Terminus located immediately outside the central station of Naples on the left hand side. The driver will be waiting with a name sign.
